Day One Hundred and Fifty Eight: Shortfalls

Disastrous Marketing

Neon signs and false slogans
preach to us alongside the billboards of old.
Littering motorways, roundabouts,
traffic lights and high streets –
Rotating, moving, spinning,
advocating avarice whilst
Straddled by divine light
from above,
evangelical adverting that is
injecting us with a sense of need/feeling of greed.
All the while repeating the same slogan,
With different words to a different tune
Along the way;
‘Eat, consume, be proud.
